GianChand, the premium single malt from India’s DeVANS Modern Breweries, has launched an exclusive Diwali gifting collection built around its new ‘The Pursuit of Craft’ brand campaign. The range comprises three curated gift boxes – GianChand Signature, Adambaraa and Manshaa – and is available at retail outlets across Gurgaon, Punjab, Chandigarh, Goa and Jammu.
‘The Pursuit of Craft’ draws inspiration from the infinity symbol, representing a continuous pursuit of excellence. The campaign celebrates the patience and precision behind every GianChand expression.
GianChand Signature pays tribute to founder Dewan Gian Chand. The whisky is named after the company’s late founder, who was a former journalist who started with a liquor bottling plant that later turned into a distillery over the years.

READ THE STORYGianChand Adambaraa is an unpeated, non-chill filtered single malt matured in American bourbon casks, inspired by Dogra hospitality and Himalayan heritage. GianChand Manshaa is a peated single malt, also matured in American bourbon casks and non-chill filtered, drawing on the cultural heritage of Jammu.
Both expressions have earned recent global recognition. GianChand Manshaa bagged the titles of International Whisky of the Year 2025 and a Grand Gold at Meininger’s International Spirits Award in Germany.
Adambaraa won both ‘Best Indian Single Malt Whisky 2025’ and ‘Best Indian Whisky 2025’ at the International Whisky Competition in Louisville, Kentucky.
“Diwali is about celebrating meaningful relationships and expressing appreciation,” said Prem Dewan, chairman and managing director of DeVANS Modern Breweries. “With our GianChand gifting collection, we have brought the philosophy of ‘The Pursuit of Craft’ into festive gifting, offering three distinctive expressions that reflect our heritage, craftsmanship and commitment to excellence.”
Dewan has previously described Adambaraa as “decades of commitment reinterpreted for today’s global palate.”
GianChand Signature is priced at ₹4,500 (US$51/£38), while Adambaraa and Manshaa each retail at ₹9,000 (US$102/£76).
The launch arrives amid rapid growth for home-grown single malts. Indian single malts hit roughly 500,000 nine-litre cases in 2025, up from 350,000 in 2023, per CIABC’s 2026 figures.
