“Nancy’s leadership, relationships and commitment to our mission have helped shape the brand we are today, and this next step reflects the role she has long played in our growth,” said Dan Garrison, Garrison Brothers Distillery.
Known as the “Queen Bee of Garrison Brothers,” Nancy is a fourth-generation Austinite. Her family is well known in town for their success in retail and real estate with Scarbroughs Department Stores.
She attended the University of Texas at Austin, Moody College of Communications, and earned a B.S. in Communications. Nancy served as Scarbroughs president for 15 years until 2009, when the family closed all stores after more than 100 years in business.
Garrison Brothers was the first distillery outside Kentucky to produce authentic, corn-to-cork bourbon whiskey. Every drop is made from Texas-grown grain, distilled and aged under the Hill Country sun, proofed with rainwater and bottled by hand.
Today, the distillery is available nationwide and in five countries, and has won more than 800 awards.
