Flaviar Whiskey Art Exhibition Opens at SF's Beacon Grand

Flaviar and The Beacon Grand have launched Museum of Flaviar: An Exhibition of Whiskey, Art and Imagination, a limited-time cultural experience at the landmark San Francisco hotel. The exhibition opened this month and will remain on view through December 31, 2026, featuring 15 original artworks that reimagine familiar masterpieces with whiskey as the central character.

“Whiskey has always carried stories of place, process, people and time,” said Grisa Soba, Flaviar co-founder. “Museum of Flaviar gives those stories a new visual language. By moving from the bottle to the artwork and ultimately to the glass, we are creating a more imaginative and approachable way to discover what makes each whiskey distinctive.”

The exhibition was inspired by the 2026 Flaviar Whiskey Advent Calendar, which pairs 24 selected whiskey expressions with original commissioned artwork. Each artwork reflects the individual character of its matched whiskey, exploring shared ideas of craftsmanship, place, structure, mood, balance, tension and restraint.

At The Beacon, 15 of those works are presented at a larger scale, bringing the calendar’s visual storytelling to life. In the works bottles, glasses and familiar whiskey rituals slip into recognizable compositions, giving each work a fun new point of view.

“The Beacon was designed to be a gathering place at the heart of San Francisco, and this collaboration brings that idea to life in an unexpected way,” said Sébastien Pfeiffer, managing director of The Beacon. “The exhibition gives guests multiple ways to engage, through art, cocktails, conversation and a special guest package built around the collection.”

The 15 work installation sits in a public room adjacent to The Post Room, the hotel’s bar and brasserie that is itself set beneath vaulted ceilings on the mezzanine overlooking the grand lobby. In the bar guests can take the exhibition experience a step further through cocktails and a guided whiskey flight.

Featured works include A Measure of Character, which comes to life via a Woodville Espresso Old Fashioned using Woodinville Straight Bourbon Whiskey Aged 6 Years, and Amber Horizon, echoed by a Manhattan featuring Frank August Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Other expressions on the menu span Breckenridge Rum Cask Finish, Barrell Foundation Double Barrel Bourbon and Four Roses Small Batch Select. A three-whiskey tasting flight drawn from the collection offers another way to compare the expressions.

The Museum of Flaviar: An Exhibition of Whiskey, Art and Imagination will expand with the Collector’s Stay, a forthcoming limited overnight package at the 418-room hotel.

Founded in 2012, Flaviar is a membership-based spirits club that has built its reputation on whiskey discovery and storytelling. More information is available via The Beacon Grand and Flaviar.
