Edrington to Showcase Rare Whiskies at Changi Airport

Edrington Global Travel Retail will present a selection of rare and ultra-premium expressions from The Macallan and Highland Park at the fourth World of Wines & Spirits event. The showcase, hosted by Changi Airport Group and Lotte Travel Retail Singapore, is scheduled to take place from October 24-25.

Alongside its product showcase, Edrington will host an exclusive masterclass for VVIPs.

The masterclass will be held at The Macallan House in Singapore’s Raffles Hotel during the event.

Kasper Andersen, Regional Managing Director for Global Travel Retail at Edrington, commented on the company’s participation.

“Our longstanding partnership and collaboration with the World of Wines & Spirits event underscores our continued dedication to elevating luxury experiences in travel retail,” Andersen said.

“Today’s luxury travel retail spirits consumers are curious and selective; they want to know the story behind what they’re buying, where it comes from, how it’s made, and why it’s special.”

Andersen added: “The Macallan and Highland Park expressions featured this year beautifully convey our commitment to storytelling and craftsmanship whilst speaking directly to the needs of consumers at this prestigious event.”

The selection from The Macallan will feature expressions from its Fine & Rare and Red Collection series.

The Red Collection represents the pinnacle of the brand’s portfolio and is drawn from some of the distillery’s oldest and rarest casks.

Exclusively for the event, The Macallan will present 71, 74, and 78 Year Old expressions from The Red Collection.

The whiskies will be housed in a new, bespoke case handmade by Scotland’s Method Design Studio.

From its Fine & Rare Collection, one of the world’s largest selections of vintage-dated Single Malts, the brand will feature The Macallan Fine & Rare 1965.

This expression is presented in a Tantalus case by London designer Kamini Ezralow, with a global release limited to 447 bottles. It will be joined by the 1937 and 1951 editions.

For the Highland Park brand, Edrington will present its 21 Year Old and 25 Year Old limited batch releases.

The 21 Year Old, released in 2023, was created using a small batch of only 48 casks.

According to the brand, its official tasting notes include flavors of honey, crème brûlée, and smoked lemon.

The 25 Year Old, released in 2022, is described as having a fruity and sweet character with woody spices and a deep copper color.
