Diplomático has revealed Chancellor, the Venezuelan rum brand’s most exclusive release to date, with only 900 individually numbered bottles available worldwide. The ultra-rare expression joins the brand’s Prestige Range alongside the Ambassador and Single Vintage and will be available from March 4, 2026, at an RRP of £1,900.
Chancellor is the result of a triple-cask maturation process using a bespoke sequence of French virgin oak, American virgin oak, and seasoned American oak casks. The liquid is built around the distillery’s most complex, heavy pot-still rums.
Diplomático’s Maestros Roneros developed the expression drawing on a rum-making heritage that dates back to 1959. The brand describes the spirit as a celebration of unhurried craftsmanship aimed at the most discerning spirits connoisseurs.

READ THE STORYBottled at 47% ABV, Chancellor is designed to be savored neat. Official tasting notes from the brand describe an evocative nose of heavy wood, dark caramel, and cured tobacco accented by delicate spices. The palate reveals what the brand calls an elegant, cognac-like fruit body, with notes of ripe peach and bright citrus meeting the warmth of vanilla. The finish is long and complex.
Elena Petrov, global brand director for Diplomático, said: “Chancellor is an exceptional liquid that captures the very heart of our passion for craftsmanship. We are inviting the world’s most discerning collectors to experience our most complex and refined expression yet.”
Petrov added: “It is a rare, unhurried masterpiece designed for those who understand that true luxury is found in the depth of the story behind the spirit.”
The release is presented in a bespoke prestige decanter. It will be available in the UK through The Whisky Exchange.
Diplomático, produced at the Destilerías Unidas distillery at the foot of the Andes in Venezuela, has built a reputation as one of the most awarded rum producers in the world. The brand’s portfolio spans several ranges, from the widely available Reserva Exclusiva to the limited Prestige Range that Chancellor now crowns. The distillery is known for using a combination of pot stills, batch kettles, and continuous column stills to produce rums of varying weight and character.
Chancellor marks a significant step in the brand’s push into the ultra-premium spirits category, positioning it alongside the world’s finest aged dark spirits.
