South Seas Distilleries has won five Gold medals at The World Whisky Masters 2026 for its Crazy Cock Indian Single Malt portfolio. The Dahanu, Maharashtra–based company announced the results on August 10, 2026, weeks after a strong showing at IWSC UK 2026.
Every one of the five Crazy Cock expressions entered at the competition secured a Gold medal. The awarded whiskies were Crazy Cock The Indian Single Malt Whisky Dhua, Rare, Madhuca I, Madhuca II and Madhuca III.

South Seas Distilleries said it is the only Indian distiller to achieve five Gold medals at the event. The result follows the brand’s performance at IWSC UK 2026. There, Crazy Cock Madhuca III was the highest-ranked Indian single malt with a Gold medal.
The three Crazy Cock Madhuca editions secured the top three Indian whisky rankings at IWSC. The portfolio also accounted for five of the 10 medals awarded to Indian single malts at that competition.

The World Whisky Masters is a blind-tasting competition. Entries are judged by an independent panel of international whisky experts who evaluate quality, craftsmanship and character.
Judges singled out Crazy Cock Madhuca I. According to the official notes from the brand, the panel praised its “creamy buttery nose” with notes of toasted pecan, dried fruits and Medjool dates. One judge described it as “delicious.”

India has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing whisky markets, with domestic single malts increasingly competing on the international stage.
