Copper & Kings has relaunched its Bottle Your Own experience at its distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. The one-hour guided tour lets guests taste two single barrels, one American brandy and one bourbon, and then fill, cork, label, and sign their own bottle.

Each tour opens with a complimentary welcome cocktail. The drink features American brandy aged in bourbon barrels. Guests then move into the barrel cellar. There, they taste Revival American Brandy and Kings Proof Bourbon side by side.

From there, the route continues through the distillery’s copper pot still room. Visitors also receive a tasting pour usually kept for Kings Bottle Club members. At the end of the tour, guests sample the two single barrels. They can bottle from either barrel or take home one of each.

READ THE STORY

“We make brandy the way Kentucky makes bourbon, but we do it our own way—using fruit, pot stills, used barrels, and an underground cellar,” said Rob Bourdon, CEO of Copper & Kings. “No one expects it when they arrive, but everyone understands it when they leave, especially after filling their own bottle.”

According to the CEO, the two categories share close ties. “Bourbon and American Brandy have more in common than many realize,” he said. “Our brandies age in bourbon barrels, and our bourbons finish in brandy barrels.”

“The Bottle Your Own experience lets guests discover that connection firsthand and take home a bottle they personally created,” Bourdon said.

Tours run daily at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm. The distillery sits at 1121 E. Washington St. in Louisville.

Tickets cost $48 (£36 / ₹4,575) per person. Filled bottles cost $90 (£68 / ₹8,580) each, plus tax.

Participants must be 21 or older with valid ID to fill a bottle. Copper & Kings limits group sizes to keep the experience personal and strongly encourages reservations via copperandkings.com.
