Chattanooga Whiskey Batch 048: Pink Boots Gin Liqueur

Chattanooga Whiskey has released Batch 048: Strawberry Infused Gin Liqueur, a new Experimental Single Batch expression developed in partnership with the Pink Boots Society to support women’s education in distilling.

The gin liqueur will launch May 7, 2026, at the company’s Experimental Distillery in Chattanooga, Tennessee, priced at $49.99 (£39) for a 750ml bottle.

Head Distiller Tiana Saul led the development of Batch 048 in collaboration with the Pink Boots Society. A portion of proceeds will go directly to the organization.

“The Pink Boots Society formed almost two decades ago as an educational platform and support system for underrepresented voices in the alcohol industry, and collaborating with them has been a goal of mine since I joined the Production Team in 2017,” said Tiana Saul, head distiller. “The opportunity finally presented itself with Batch 048: Strawberry Infused Gin Liqueur — a fun, bold, (pink!) statement spirit that also features a unique ingredient I have been fascinated with for just as long — a type of Australian eucalyptus known colloquially as ‘Strawberry Gum.'”

The expression is made with Country Malt Group’s limited-release Pink Boots Barley Malt, which this year features a new barley variety called “AB Dram.” The malt is lightly toasted at low temperatures to complement the gin’s botanical profile.

Chattanooga Whiskey used 100% whiskey as the base spirit rather than a grain neutral spirit. The infusion incorporates whole ingredients including strawberries, rhubarb, raspberries, lemon peel, and eucalyptus leaf.

Grant McCracken, founding distiller, added: “The magic of our infused liqueurs has always come from using whole ingredients. Whole ingredients allow our distillers to control each ingredient’s infusion time and flavor intensity. This gin leverages that technique for both distillation and infusion processes… which is ultimately why it’s so delicious!”

Batch 048 follows the distillery’s malt-forward, Dutch Genever-style approach used across its gin releases in the Experimental Single Batch Series. The spirit is distilled at lower proofs to highlight a richer, whiskey-like character.

Botanicals include juniper, coriander, lemon peel, cardamom, ginger, vanilla, and Szechuan peppercorns. Official tasting notes from the brand describe balsamic-drizzled strawberries, bubblegum, cardamom biscotti, juniper berry, and lemon zest.

Limited quantities will also be available online at Seelbachs.com for shipping to select states throughout May. The release arrives from a distillery recently named Craft Producer of the Year for 2026 by Whisky Magazine’s Icons of Whisky.

Founded in 2011, Chattanooga Whiskey helped change Tennessee law to allow distilling in the city for the first time in over a century. The company operates both an Experimental Distillery and a larger Riverfront Distillery, welcoming more than 50,000 visitors annually.
