Bulleit Frontier Whiskey has partnered with Mike’s Hot Honey to promote its new Bulleit ’87 bourbon and rye blend. The two brands will take the pairing to 22 events across 15 US cities, starting in Los Angeles and New York this weekend and running into 2027.

At each stop, the duo will serve Bulleit ’87 neat or on the rocks with a drizzle of Mike’s Hot Honey on the rim.

Guests can try the serve at the Bulleit Rider, a mobile bar painted in the brand’s signature orange. Bulleit Bourbon and Bulleit Rye will also appear in cocktails that use the honey as a key ingredient.

“As a brand built on backing bold ideas and doing things differently, we’re thrilled to partner with Mike’s Hot Honey to create the ultimate flavor pairing,” said Frank Dudley, brand director of American whiskey at Diageo.

He added: “We’re all about pushing the boundaries of flavor exploration, and Mike’s Hot Honey shares the same philosophy of quality and flavor, making for a pairing that tastes damn good.”

Local food collaborations will run alongside the tour. Partners include Briscuits in Austin, Texas, and Cafe du Monde Beignets in New Orleans.

In Los Angeles, Ggiata Delicatessen created The Kentucky Hotshot. The sandwich features chicken marinated in a Bulleit ’87 BBQ sauce and topped with Mike’s Hot Honey. It costs $18 (£13.50 / ₹1,710) at all Ggiata locations from October 16-19.

On October 17, the Bulleit Rider will take over Stone Street Oktoberfest in New York City. The activation will offer free cocktails and giveaways at several bars.

Later stops include Whiskey Washback Dallas, WhiskyFest NY, South Beach Food & Wine in Miami and Louisville’s Derby Week.

Bulleit has also released two signature recipes. The Hot Honey Old Fashioned mixes Bulleit Bourbon, Mike’s Hot Honey and bitters. The Swicy Gold Rush combines Bulleit Rye, lemon juice and the honey.

The brand said the honey rim “draws out the whiskey’s brown sugar sweetness while amplifying its spiced rye.”

Artist Diego Aguilar designed a limited-edition Bulleit ’87 x Mike’s Hot Honey T-shirt. It sells for $30 (£22.50 / ₹2,850) on the Mike’s Hot Honey website.

Bulleit ’87 has a suggested retail price of $29.99 (£22.49 / ₹2,850) for a 750ml bottle. That matches Bulleit Bourbon and Bulleit 95 Rye. Shoppers can buy it at select US retailers or online at ReserveBar.
