Brush Creek Distillery's Heroes Edition Honors America's 250th

Brush Creek Distillery pours Heroes Edition Whiskey for America’s 250th anniversary.

Wyoming’s Brush Creek Ranch will mark America’s Semiquincentennial with its Independence Week and Summer Fest & Rodeo, anchored by a patriotic whiskey from its onsite Brush Creek Distillery. The Saratoga property, a working cattle ranch since 1884, has produced the Heroes Edition Whiskey to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The Heroes Edition is a blend of Red, Blue, and White Corn straight bourbons. The spirit is designed to “pay homage to everyday heroes of yesterday, today, and tomorrow,” according to the brand.

Brush Creek Distillery distills its craft spirits using plants foraged from the surrounding land and herbs from the Ranch’s onsite Greenhouse.

The release positions Wyoming as a rising force in American whiskey. The state “is quickly becoming America’s next whiskey destination,” the brand stated.

Brush Creek Ranch traces its roots to 1884, when American settlers and loggers moving west established homesteads in Saratoga. The property frames its history as part of America’s westward expansion.

The Ranch is located 35 miles from I-80, the interstate that spans 2,900 miles and crosses 11 states between New Jersey and San Francisco. The property was recently named the 2026 Orvis-Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge of the Year.

Guests can take part in cattle drives, barrel racing, fly-fishing, shooting sports, and horseback riding. Visitors can also tour the distillery, with experiences including a barrel-thieving session, alongside cheesemaking and greenhouse immersions at The Farm at Brush Creek.

The whiskey forms part of a wider craft spirits movement in the US, where producers increasingly emphasize local sourcing and terroir-driven distillation. Bourbon production remains concentrated in Kentucky, though states including Wyoming, Texas, and Colorado have built reputations for distinctive regional expressions in recent years.

The American whiskey category continues to expand globally, with the US the world’s largest whiskey producer by value.

Brush Creek Ranch will host its Independence Week and Summer Fest & Rodeo to coincide with the anniversary celebrations. The program is intended to bring the Ranch’s frontier history “to life this summer.”

Wyoming is staging a year-long Semiquincentennial Celebration of America, featuring events, educational activities, and cultural festivities across the state.
