Brighton Whisky Weekend 2026: Three Days of Drams by the Sea

Brighton Whisky Weekend, a new three-day whisky festival, will take place from June 26-28, 2026, across multiple venues in the English coastal city. The event is organized by three drinks industry figures: Richard Foster, Seb Woolf and Rosie Lees.

At the heart of the weekend is a central expo at The Old Market on Saturday, June 27, featuring more than 30 producers sampling their spirits. Guests will meet the people behind the liquid, explore a wide range of styles and regions, and discover established names, emerging producers and independent bottlers.

Each attendee will receive a free tasting glass. All whisky sampling is included in the ticket price with no additional tokens or hidden costs. Food will be available on-site, along with the opportunity to purchase bottles and an exclusive festival bottling.

The weekend extends beyond the expo itself. Organizers have planned highball events in Hove, bourbon tastings on the beach, paired dinners, bar takeovers and masterclasses across the city.

Foster, the whisky festival host behind Croydon Whisky Festival, English Whisky Festival and Exploring Whisky Bristol, said: “The opportunity to host a whisky festival in Brighton was too good to miss – it’s hard to believe this thriving, culturally mature city didn’t already have one. This isn’t going to be just another whisky event, it’s going to become the whisky event and I for one am going to have a whole lot of fun bringing this to life with the team.”

Woolf is the founder of Cut Your Woolf Loose, an independent whisky bar in Brighton, and the Artful Dodger indie bottling brand. He has been a fixture of the city’s hospitality scene for 13 years.

“Brighton is a vibrant city full of independent businesses and adding a whisky event backed by whisky and bar enthusiasts made complete sense,” Woolf said. “Bringing together independent whisky businesses, excellent Brighton bars, legendary brands and amazing whisky people to create a unique whisky experience – Brighton Whisky Weekend was born.”

Lees, co-founder of N94 agency and Lecce Cocktail Week, is a respected spirits judge who works with major global whisky brands. Born and raised in Brighton, she brings both industry credentials and local knowledge to the venture.

“I wanted to do so much more than just an expo and something that felt distinctively Brighton,” Lees said. “There are so many great independent bars and restaurants in the city that we’ll be highlighting throughout the weekend.”

Tickets will be available at brightonwhiskyweekend.com. The full event schedule will be announced on the festival’s social media channels in the coming months.
