Bowmore, established in 1779, holds the distinction of being the first licensed distillery on Islay. Its No. 1 Vaults, located below sea level on the shores of Loch Indaal, are among the oldest maturation warehouses in Scotland.
Bowmore recently made headlines when its 21-year-old Sherry Oak Collection whisky was named ‘World’s Best Single Malt’ at the 2026 World Whiskies Awards.
