Elizabethtown-based nonprofit Give 270 has presented a $17,000 check to Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland (FAKH), funded entirely through proceeds from its latest Bourbon Strong 50-4-50 raffle. The raffle featured 50 bourbon prizes and sold 1,260 tickets to participants from across the United States on May 27.
FAKH serves communities in need by acquiring and distributing donated food, grocery items, and government commodities throughout almost 16,000 square miles of Kentucky. The organization operates across 42 of the state’s counties through a network of more than 200 agency partners.

"We are incredibly grateful for Give 270’s ongoing support and for everyone who participated in this raffle," said Charles Dennis, executive director of FAKH. "Every dollar helps us provide not only food, but hope for families across the region."
The donation marks the latest in a series of contributions Give 270 has made to FAKH through its Bourbon Strong raffles and other charitable gaming initiatives. To date, the organization has raised over $2.2 million for area nonprofit organizations and initiatives.

"One of the most remarkable aspects of these raffles is seeing people from across the country come together to support causes right here at home," said Eric Clemens, board chair for Give 270. "Participants from nearly all 50 states purchased tickets, and their contributions will directly benefit families throughout 42 Kentucky counties."
The Bourbon Strong raffle series has become a signature fundraising vehicle for Give 270, leveraging the broad cultural appeal of bourbon to drive charitable contributions. Kentucky remains the heartland of American bourbon production, with the state’s distilleries producing approximately 95% of the world’s bourbon supply, according to the Kentucky Distillers’ Association.
