Barrell Craft Spirits (BCS) has introduced a limited-edition 12-year bourbon finished in toasted American oak casks as the latest release in its Red Label Series. The Louisville, Kentucky-based independent blender announced the new expression on February 25, 2026.
The Red Label Series features age-stated whiskeys and uses finishing casks to elevate blends. This release was crafted from a handpicked collection of 12 to 15-year-old bourbon barrels, each selected for maturity, complexity, and balance.
The BCS blending team combined the aged lots to emphasise their individual characteristics. The blend was then given a finishing period in slow-toasted American oak casks designed to draw out additional layers of flavor.

READ THE STORY“Red Label bourbons offer a twist on our classics, paying homage to our origins and to some of our favorite products,” said BCS founder Joe Beatrice.
Beatrice added: “Slow-toasted American oak lends a luxurious depth to this mature bourbon, accentuating its natural sweetness and complexity while preserving its refined structure.”
The bourbon was distilled in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee, and then blended and bottled in Kentucky at 113.4 proof. It is available for purchase online via the BCS website and at select retailers for a suggested retail price of $159.99 per 750ml bottle.
BCS has built a reputation as one of the American whiskey industry’s most prominent independent blending operations since its founding in 2013. The company does not distill its own spirit but instead sources and blends aged stocks, applying creative finishing techniques across its portfolio.
The company’s lineup includes its core Barrell Bourbon and Barrell Rye ranges alongside limited and special releases. Its products are currently sold across 49 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, the UK, South Korea, Ukraine, and Australia.
BCS has earned recognition from several major distilled spirits competitions and publications over the past decade. The independent blending model the company pioneered has since influenced a broader wave of non-distiller producers focused on blending craft in the American whiskey category.
The 12-year bourbon finished in toasted American oak casks joins a growing Red Label Series portfolio that continues to explore how finishing techniques can reshape aged whiskey profiles.
