READ THE STORYThe gift pack includes a 750ml bottle of The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old alongside a 50ml sample of The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year Old and two premium leather coasters.
Ngai is an award-winning, Los Angeles-based artist originally from Hong Kong. Her meticulous craftsmanship and hand-made designs were selected to reflect The Balvenie’s commitment to patience, technical skill, and creativity.
The artist’s packaging artwork draws on references to the four seasons, encapsulating the brand’s belief in time as a creative force. Ngai interprets The Balvenie’s pioneering double-cask maturation process by symbolically weaving two tree trunks into the composition, with their tree rings hinting at the liquid’s age.
The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old gains its distinctive character from maturation in two differing cask types, a process the distillery founded in 1983. The whisky is first aged in traditional American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in European oak ex-sherry casks.
The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year Old, included as a sample in the gift pack, undergoes a finishing period in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. Both expressions are produced at The Balvenie’s Speyside distillery in Dufftown, Scotland, one of the few distilleries that still maintains its own floor maltings and cooperage.

The collaboration positions the gift pack as a collectible item aimed at the premium gifting occasion market. The packaging transforms the bottle into what the brand describes as "a luxurious collectible that transforms a bottle into a special gifting experience."
The Balvenie has increasingly invested in artist collaborations and limited-edition releases as part of its broader strategy to emphasize its handcrafted credentials. The distillery, owned by William Grant & Sons, has long distinguished itself in the single malt Scotch category through its emphasis on traditional production methods and in-house craftsmanship.
The Father’s Day gift pack is available at retailers nationwide.
