Isle of Arran Distillers has unveiled two significant additions to its core single malt range: the return of the Arran 14 Year Old and the introduction of the distillery’s first permanent Arran 30 Year Old expression. The releases arrive alongside refreshed packaging across the entire Arran Single Malt lineup, building on momentum from the brand’s 30th anniversary celebrations and its recent Distillery of the Year win at the Scottish Whisky Awards.

READ THE STORYThe Arran 14 Year Old was first released in 2010 before disappearing from shelves several years ago. It returns with an adjusted recipe, matured primarily in bourbon barrels with additional time in rare Palo Cortado sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and natural color, it is positioned in the middle of the core range.
Official tasting notes from the brand describe rich fruit syrup, apples and mandarin on the nose, supported by cereal sweetness and gentle saltiness. The palate delivers salted apples, toffee and mango, with a lingering finish of soft oak and delicate saline character.
The core range Arran 30 Year Old follows last year’s celebratory distillery-exclusive bottle carrying the same age statement. Selected from old and rare sherry hogsheads dating to the distillery’s earliest production years, it is also bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and natural color.
Euan Mitchell, managing director of Isle of Arran Distillers, said: "This 30 Year Old is a proud milestone for us, showcasing the depth and character that comes with time, care and our commitment to doing things the right way on Arran. It’s a rare glimpse into our earliest spirit, matured to its full potential."
The packaging refresh uses color, texture and design cues to distinguish expressions more clearly. Lochranza Distillery manager Stewart Bowman’s signature now appears across the range.

Sustainability also underpins the update. New Vista glass bottles made from 100% post-consumer recycled glass are being introduced, while FSC-certified paper continues to be used for labels and tubes.
Jaclyn McKie, head of marketing at Isle of Arran Distillers, said: "We’re incredibly proud to have seen the brand grow so much following our successful rebrand in 2019, and we’re always looking for ways to evolve, both in sustainability and design, to reflect the quality of the single malt whisky we craft every day."
Both expressions and the refreshed core range are available from whisky retailers worldwide and from the distillery shops at Lochranza and Lagg.
