Aberdeen Entrepreneurs Launch Luxury Chauffeur & Whisky Experience
Macaulay Middleton and Fraser Campbell.

Aberdeen-based Macaulay’s Private Chauffeur Hire has partnered with whisky specialist Fraser Campbell to launch a luxury chauffeur and tasting service called One for the Road. The collaboration offers groups visiting Scotland personalized whisky tastings and curated experiences while traveling in a private vehicle.

The new service allows guests who book a vehicle for a day or more to have Campbell join them on their journey to share insights, stories, and tastings of Scotland’s whiskies.

Campbell, who was born in Speyside, brings over 27 years of experience in hospitality and whisky to the partnership.

His career includes time as the global brand ambassador for Dewar’s Blended Scotch, hosting events in more than 40 countries. Campbell now runs his own business creating whisky experiences, provides consultancy services, and recently launched an educational video series, Whisky Bytes.

Macaulay’s Private Chauffeur Hire was founded by Macaulay Middleton in Aberdeen in 2022. The company focuses on providing private chauffeur services for corporate clients, international guests, and luxury travelers throughout Scotland.

“Creating memorable journeys has always been at the heart of what we do,” said Middleton. “By partnering with Fraser, we’re able to offer something truly special – a luxury Scottish travel experience that combine our first-class chauffeur services with Scotland’s finest whiskies, history and experiences, all delivered with the personal attention and care that our clients have come to enjoy and expect.”

Campbell noted the growth in Scotland’s whisky tourism sector.

He added: “Over the past decade, Scotland has really upped its game when it comes to experiencing whisky. From the Michelin star restaurant at The Glenturret in Crieff, to the ÖÖD Houses at Arbikie Distillery, the expectation from guests visiting Scotland looking for a unique experience to go with their delicious drams has vastly increased.”

Campbell continued: “One for the Road will create the perfect whisky travel experience that will showcase the best of what Scotland has to offer, through the lens of the outstanding chauffeur services that Macaulay has created, combined with my love of sharing the best of Scotland’s whisky & it’s culture with people from all over the world.”

One for the Road is designed for local and international groups of up to six people. The service aims to remove logistical responsibilities like driving or route planning for its clients.

Several packages are available, including single and multi-day options.

The Day Trip & Whisky Tasting includes a full day with the chauffeur service and a one-hour private tasting of five hand-picked Scotch whiskies hosted by Campbell.

A Day Trip & Whisky Experience offers an immersive journey with distillery visits and scenic tastings, with Campbell accompanying the group throughout the day.

For longer trips, a Multi-Day Trip & Whisky Experience provides a fully bespoke tour with a custom whisky itinerary. This option combines scenic landscapes with access to exclusive distillery features and cultural locales.

Pricing for the experiences is available upon request. For inquiries and bookings, visit the
