Glen Scotia Releases Tickets For the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2024

Glen Scotia Distillery is hosting numerous events for the 2024 Campbeltown Malts Festival.

Glen Scotia Distillery, tucked away in the heart of Campbeltown, has released tickets for the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2024 and unveiled a list of exclusive events. Tickets for the events go on sale today (13th March 2024) on the Glen Scotia website

The annual Campbeltown Malts Festival draws thousands of visitors from around the globe to the small Scottish town. Once considered the ‘Whisky Capital of the World’ with over 20 working distilleries at its height in the Victorian era, Campbeltown is now home to just three distilleries: Springbank, Glengyle, and Glen Scotia. 

Nevertheless, the three distilleries have preserved the legacy of Campbeltown, which is celebrated through tastings, tours, and experiences at the Campbeltown Malts Festival.

Glen Scotia’s Campbeltown Malts Festival Events 

Glen Scotia’s events kick off on the 21st of May 2024 with the Glen Scotia Malts Festival Dinner. Beginning at 7:30pm at Machrihanish Airbase, the dinner will include a three-course meal paired with exclusive single-cask whiskies. There will also be speeches from Glen Scotia Distillery Manager, Iain McAlister, and special guests. 

The following day, on May 22nd, the distillery will host several ticketed events including: 

  • A dunnage warehouse tasting with Distillery Manager Iain McAlister including the sampling of five handpicked, unreleased, cask whiskies. – £55 per person. 
  • Exploring The World of Sherry, a 60-minute talk with whisky journalist, Dave Broom, and Loch Lomond Group’s Master Blender, Michael Henry. The talk will explore the history of the flavors of the sherry casks used to mature Glen Scotia whisky. – £40 per person. 
  • The Master Blender Experience with OurWhisky Foundation founder, Becky Paskin, and Michael Henry. This experience gives whisky fans the chance to create their own Glen Scotia blended whisky under expert guidance. – £60 per person. 
  • The New Make Spirit School, hosted by Millie Milliken and Iain McAlister, will educate whisky lovers on the distillation process at Glen Scotia. – £30 per person

In addition to further, free events, Glen Scotia will also unveil its most recent collaboration at the Campbeltown Malts Festival. The distillery teamed up with several creators to create an immersive exhibition space that tells the story of traveling to Campbeltown at its height, whether by land or by sea.

The Campbeltown Malts Festival enters its 16th year in 2024, keeping the history of Campbeltown alive. 

Springbank Distillery is also hosting a number of events, running from May 20th to May 25th.
