Garden & Gun Distilled Launch Party

The Stitzel-Weller Distillery will kick off the week with a cocktail party held in the stunning gardens. Hosted by Garden & Gun editor-in-chief, David DiBenedetto, the party will include bourbon from Blade and Bow, whiskey cocktails, and live music from Brother Smith and The Local Honeys.

There will also be food stations including Creole and Cajun cuisine from Lawrence Weeks, North of Bourbon, and Ensō.

Various stalls will host local businesses selling everything from bath products to baked goods.

Rise From The Ruins

The Castle & Key Distillery is an iconic site, integral to bourbon history.

On April 25th, the distillery will host an exclusive tour of the distillery hosted by Castle & Key co-founder Will Arvin and landscape designer Jon Carloftis. Guests will see the historic Warehouse B – the longest bourbon rickhouse in the world.

This will be followed by cocktails in The Sunken Garden, which were, originally, lovingly designed by Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. to reflect his travels in Europe.

Then on to the Old Bottling Ruins for dinner. This experience showcases how Castle & Key stood abandoned for years before being resurrected. The stark contrast shows just how far the distillery has come, whilst also paying tribute to its roots.

The dinner menu has been curated by Cooper Vaughan of The Apiary in Lexington. Featuring herbs from the gin garden and curated whiskey cocktail pairings, this is the ultimate bourbon dining experience.

Music will be provided by Hancock & Shouse.
