Fans of Blanton’s Bourbon have made $1 million for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital following an inaugural Blanton’s sweepstake hosted by Sazerac and the Buffalo Trace Distillery.

The Blanton’s Gold Charity Sweepstake winner received a VIP tour of the Buffalo Trace Distillery followed by a private lunch for themselves and seven guests. The winner will also select their very own barrel of bourbon to be bottled, as well as $20,000 to purchase said bottles.

Entrants paid $100 to enter the sweepstake, and the winner was informed privately on March 4th. Proceeds from the sweepstake have raised $1 million for St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

The research hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, conducts medical research into, and treatment of, a wide range of childhood ailments and diseases such as cancer. The hospital treats children at no cost to families, meaning that a person of any means can get the best treatment for their child.

About Blanton’s Bourbon

Blanton’s Bourbon was created by Elmer T. Lee in 1984. Blanton’s is considered the first single-barrel bourbon to be marketed in the US. It was named in tribute to Albert Bacon Blanton, former president of the George T. Stagg Distillery (later the Buffalo Trace Distillery).

Today, Blanton’s Bourbon is an internationally renowned bourbon brand, as is evidenced by the number of entries to the sweepstake.
