Chivas Regal UltisThe Chivas Regal Scotch whisky brand, owned by Pernod Ricard, is already a power player on the world stage, selling 4.5 million 9-liter cases of brown spirits annually in more than 150 countries. It is extending its reach into new territory now – the blended malt – via the unveiling of Chivas Regal Ultis.

Chivas Regal Ultis is described by those behind it as being a blended malt consisting of whisky from just five single malt offerings across the brand’s larger portfolio, including spirit from Tormore, Longmorn, Strathisla, Allt A’Bhainne and Braeval. It is said that to get at this final creation, only 1% of the inventory from the millions of casks in the Chivas Brothers was “hand-selected by the expert blending team.”

“By working together, our blending team has masterfully brought five unique single malts from across the Speyside region to create an exceptional blend which is truly the essence of Chivas Regal Ultis,” said Colin Scott, Custodian Master Blender, in a prepared statement. “Each individual malt and each individual blender has added an element of expertise to the whisky, which is unique to the blend, ensuring it is the ultimate embodiment of shared success.”

One thing which is particularly interesting with this release is the bottle. It is said to have “a unique pen-clip closure which is etched with five rings, and a striking placement of the Roman numeral figure for five on the highly crafted base and within the textured crest label.”
