In order to commemorate being under new ownership for a decade, the BenRiach distillery has decided to offer a very limited release 10th anniversary single malt Scotch, crafted from four casks originally laid down in their first week of production. With only 1106 bottles available for purchase, it’s safe to say that this will become a fairly rare collector’s item.

If you were to come across a bottle of this anniversary vintage, assuming you had the heart to open it, you would find, according to distillery tasting notes, that it comes with a rich bouquet of white pear, candied peel, soft vanilla and clotted cream. As for taste, it has a delicate balance of coconut butter, creme brulee and vanilla poached pear accentuating a crisp barley and toasted oak undertone.
While BenRiach is well known as a maker of some of the finest Scotches, they seem to have outdone themselves with this limited offering. If you want to try and hunt down a bottle, there are a few places overseas which still have some in stock it looks like.
