Tasting Notes

About:

8-year-old Kentucky whiskey with a “higher malt barley content”; bottled at 50% ABV; priced at $49.99.
Appearance:
Much more on very light golden amber side of things. Weak leg structure.
Nose:
So so mix of notes of caramel, candy corn, maple syrup, pineapple and apricot.
Palate:
Let’s see here…cinnamon, baked bread, maple syrup, cotton candy, molasses and orange come across a little disjointed. Finish is sweet and fades too fast, leaving some funk in my back throat after.
Finish:
Comments:
Not really a big fan of this one. Some promise here, but there’s just too many issues across the nose and the palate, making this whiskey feel somewhat unstructured.
