Comments:
The Snowfox Cocktail Shaker is a good shaker. The downside to it is the weight and it’s size. You can make more drinks at once with it, and the ice won’t melt if you pour one at a time and let it sit in between. While I don’t care for the color, the shaker is available in other colors. rnrnThe double walled insulation is the best part about this shaker; it keeps your hands warm, and the drink super chilled. That can come in handy when shaking cocktails with egg white as you will be able to shake longer and consistently. rnrn

Snowfox, Inc. is one of the most recent companies to get in on vacuum-insulated stainless-steel drinkware (e.g. Yeti, Hydroflask). The Southern Californian company, founded by Cici Perrier, was created on a whim after she began using her coffee tumbler to house her vodka sodas to keep them from getting warm in the hot climate.

Based on studies and statistics, the new company’s target market is Millennials, a generation born between 1981 and 1996. At the same time, for every report that states Millennials are drinking more than any other generation, there is a counter report suggesting Millennials are choosing an alcohol-free lifestyle.

The Snowfox product line ranges from stemless martini and wine glasses to rocks and highball glasses to cocktail shakers. There are three collections: Indoor Metallics, Outdoor Brights, and Elegance, so there are plenty of options to meet your aesthetic. Just note, not all collections have each type of drinkware in every color. For the development of the products, Cici Perrier focused on these five approaches;

  1. A design aesthetic that is simple yet elegant, and looks like glassware.
  2. Weight that’s up to 50% lighter than a typical, everyday glass.
  3. A thin, 1mm rim that emulates sipping from premium glassware.
  4. Sizes and shapes that are comfortable to hold for both men and women.
  5. Insulation sufficient for keeping a drink cold without the need for a lid.

Since this is a gadget review, I thought that a video of it in action would be helpful. Please enjoy the look below at the Snowfox Cocktail Shaker.

Usage Notes: Snowfox Cocktail Shaker

Vital Stats: Capacity is 22oz/650mL;  Weighs 16.4 oz; Height is 9.45in/24.23cm; Width at max point is 3.2in/8.13cm; Made out of 304 food grade stainless steel and is BPA free. A three-piece cobbler shaker available in a variety of colors at $39.99.

Appearance: Lime Green/stainless steel.

Use: My first concern with the shaker is that the top piece takes a few tries to presses to actually seal because of the rubber ring. The shaker is really large, and fits awkwardly in my hands; you can easily make up to three cocktails in it. I only made one cocktail, so I didn’t test out whether or not the ice would melt into the remaining concoction.

I absolutely love the double wall insulation because it kept my hands warm. You can tell it is working if you touch or hold the stainless-steel top portion after shaking. The topper for the built-in strainer went on and came off easily, which can be an issue with metal on metal. I must say, the drink is very chilled. For cleaning, the colored enamel Snowfox shakers have to be hand washed.
