Hudson Whiskey Collaborates On A Whiskey-Aged Steak Kit

New York’s Hudson Whiskey, in collaboration with noted butcher Pat LaFrieda, recently introduced a limited-edition, whiskey dry-aged steak kit.

Calling it a twist on “Dry January,” Hudson and Pat LaFrieda created the option for whiskey enthusiasts that choose to partake in the Dry January trend with the New York strip steak kit.

To do so, the two New York establishments came together to dry-age New York strip, infused with Hudson Whiskey’s Bright Lights, Big Bourbon through a proprietary dry-aging process tested by Pat LaFrieda himself.

A prepared statement from Hudson’s Whiskey notes that the addition of their grain-forward Bright Lights, Big Bourbon whiskey to the process imparts notes of vanilla, lightly salted caramel, and deep umami flavor to the premium cuts of beef.

“When it comes to quintessential New York food, there is nothing like a juicy NY strip, other than perhaps a NY strip dry-aged with Hudson Whiskey,” Pat LaFrieda said. “We are always looking for new innovative ways to evolve our offerings and were excited to work with Hudson Whiskey to bring our first ever Dry January kit to consumers – whether they participate in the challenge or not.”

The limited-edition kits are available at www.LaFrieda.com for a price of $158 (plus shipping) and each “Dry (Aged) January” Hudson Whiskey-Aged NY Strip Steak Kit includes two 16-ounce NY strip steaks, two Hudson Whiskey rocks glasses, a cocktail recipe card, and a Caskers code to order a bottle of Hudson Whiskey’s Bright Lights, Big Bourbon.
