Special Australian Whisky From Sullivans Cove Arrives In United States

Sullivans Cove, one of Australia’s most awarded single malt whisky distilleries, recently brought into the United States an extremely limited bottling through importer Anthem Imports.

In all, only 36 bottles of a single cask Sullivans Cove 10 Year will be available for the moment, according to a statement from the importer. The liquid itself was aged in a single, 200-liter American oak ex-bourbon cask.

According to Anthem, the 10-year-old whisky’s defining style is all about fine stone fruits, oak, and vanilla. The whisky is distilled from 100% Tasmanian malted barley in tiny batches on their pot still.

Each of the 36 bottles in this special edition sports a white sticker that notes exactly what that particular bottle contains. For this reason, the distiller’s notes show, every bottle of Sullivans Cove whisky is unique.

Sullivans Cove was founded in 1994, and since has won three World’s Best titles at the World Whiskies Awards for their Tasmanian-distilled single malts.

This 10-Year American Oak Single Cask is Sullivans Cove’s most awarded whisky.

The limited-edition expression clocks in at 47.5% ABV and comes in a 700ml bottle. Sullivans Cove’s whiskies are released via ballot to their mailing list members.
