Canadian whisky brand, Crown Royal, has announced the release of Crown Royal Blackberry – a limited edition blackberry-flavored whisky.

The whisky is bottled at 35% ABV and has an RRP of $26.99. The blackberry expression is the latest in the brand’s flavored whiskies including Apple, Peach, Salted Caramel, and Vanilla.

This new release combines the brand’s carefully selected whiskies with fresh blackberry juice. The result is a sweet yet perfectly balanced whisky perfect for the coming spring and summer months.

According to the press release, drinkers can expect “aromas of sweet blackberry sauce with a dash of whisky complement vanilla balanced with a cooked and slightly tart blackberry taste. This expression leaves you with hints of creamy vanilla and caramel, reminiscent of a blackberry crumble”.

To coincide with the release, Crown Royal has created some signature cocktails that can be made using the flavorful whisky. These cocktails include the Royal Blackberry Lemonade, the Crown Royal Blackberry Bramble, the Crown Blackberry Collins, and the Royal Blackberry Mojito. These modern twists on classic cocktails are the perfect way to sample the blackberry whisky.

Speaking about the new release, Jesse Damashek, Sr. Vice President of North American Whiskeys at Diageo said: “Crown Royal has always led through an innovative approach to whisky, pushing boundaries to deliver exceptional and exciting flavor profiles to consumers. Our newest addition, Crown Royal Blackberry Flavored Whisky, is no exception to this rule.”

The limited edition whisky is now available directly from the brand’s website.
