Bradshaw Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has earned a series of top honors for its new six- and 12-year single-barrel bourbons. The accolades add to recognition already held by the brand’s flagship six-year small-batch expression, which has received gold, double-gold and platinum medals.
The six-year single-barrel bourbon was named “Best in Show” at this year’s WSWA Wine & Spirits Tasting Competition. Robb Report described the 12-year single-barrel, known as TB12, as a “truly tasty hazmat whiskey,” and the flagship small-batch bourbon was also named among VinePair’s “The 30 Best Bourbons of 2023.”
Bradshaw Bourbon was founded in 2020 by Terry Bradshaw, described as “a bourbon aficionado and avid collector.” The former NFL quarterback built the brand from the ground up rather than lending his name as an endorsement.
Bradshaw runs the company with his son-in-law, award-winning chef Noah Hester.
The six-year single-barrel is bottled at cask strength, ranging from approximately 120 to 125 proof. It carries a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% malted barley. It is distilled at Green River Distilling Co. in Kentucky, which was established in 1885. An estimated 175 barrels are available.
The six-year single-barrel is priced at $74.99.
