Glengoyne, a Highland scotch whisky distillery, debuts an exclusive single cask expression at Selfridges this summer. The award-winning distillery releases Cask Number 1013 from 2009, featuring distinctive Selfridges yellow branding and limited to just 259 bottles.
The exclusive bottling launches June 18, 2025, across all Selfridges locations in London, Birmingham, Manchester Trafford, and Manchester Exchange Square. UK customers can also purchase online, but whisky enthusiasts must act quickly due to the limited availability.
Glengoyne’s 25 Year Old was named ‘Best Scotch’ at The Whiskey Wash Awards 2025.
Glengoyne Single Cask Selfridges Exclusive
Selfridges spirits experts hand-selected this sophisticated expression from a 2009 First Fill European Oak sherry cask. The 15-year-old whisky, bottled at cask strengt,h delivers 54.2% ABV and costs £250 for a 70cl bottle.
Official tasting notes describe a complex nose of spiced stewed fruits, toffee apple, peach, and nutty characteristics with lemongrass, salted caramel, chocolate, and pear drops. The palate offers balanced fruitiness with madeleines, lemon icing, dry sherry, almond, berry crumble, and orange notes. The finish provides length with chocolate, vanilla, toasted oak, and dried fruit.
“We are delighted to be collaborating with Selfridges in bringing this whisky to their discerning customers,” said Caroline Fox, UK Commercial Director of Glengoyne Distillery. “The Selfridges branding which adorns the limited-edition bottles makes a special whisky even more of a collectors’ item.”
Sustainable Highland Distillery Maintains “Unhurried” Approach
Glengoyne operates from one of Scotland’s most beautiful distillery locations near Loch Lomond, close to Glasgow. The Highland distillery maintains an “unhurried” approach using some of Scotland’s slowest stills, creating the brand’s distinctive fruity character.
The distillery emphasizes sustainability through 100% green electricity use and fully recyclable packaging. This environmental commitment aligns with Glengoyne’s pride in protecting its local Highland environment while producing elegant whisky expressions.
The Selfridges exclusive represents another milestone for the distillery’s growing reputation among collectors and connoisseurs seeking unique single cask expressions with premium presentation.
