Now in its third year, the Global Whisky Challenge has established itself as a rigorous test of spirit excellence. This year’s competition received 140 entries from seven countries, including the United States, Canada, Japan, Scotland, and Mexico.
Produced by Whisky Mogul Media, a division of Wine Country Network, the competition holds its winners to demanding standards. Judges evaluate whiskies across three world regions, and the top performers face a final round of re-tasting, where the highest scorers are scrutinized once more before honors are awarded. Of all the entries, just 13 earned Double Gold Medals with scores of 95 points or higher.
