The World Whiskies Awards 2026 Scotland heat placed a spotlight on Blended Malt Scotch whisky, a category that brings together single malts from multiple distilleries while excluding any grain whisky.
Blended malt allows producers to combine contrasting regional styles, cask types, and flavour profiles while retaining the character of malt whisky alone. 2025’s results highlight both creativity and balance across the category. Noble Rebel secured top honours in the No Age Statement subcategory with Smoke Symphony, while MacNair’s House of Boutique Spirits and The Octave claimed category wins in the aged divisions.
As with all Scotland heat results, only the Gold medal winners advance to the global round of judging, where they will compete for the World’s Best titles in March 2026.
