walker-dubaiThere are a lot of Johnnie Walker versions on the market these days, there is no doubt. The Blue Label expressions tend to be among the more popular, and even more nice then the basic ones are the limited edition releases which pop up now and again. One of the first for 2015 of these is the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Cities Collection, consisting of a series of bottles engraved with a cityscape from well known destinations around the world.
The limited bottling to first be released in this collection for 2015 focuses on the Middle Eastern economic powerhouse of Dubai. The cityscape art depicted on this Scotch bottle is designed to capture Dubai’s status as “a city of firsts, a global icon and a luxury travel destination.”

All of the art for each bottle was crafted by internationally known artist Jeff Nishinaka. Only 1,500 individually numbered bottles are being released into travel retail for the Dubai whisky, pricing around £169 ($255 USD). There was no immediate mention of which cities would follow next.

“With the increase in international travel the world has become a much smaller place and we get many more opportunities to visit beautiful cities, rich with character and experiences,” said Peter Fairbrother, Global Marketing Director of Diageo Global Travel and Middle East, in a statement. “With this exclusive limited edition range we wanted to capture the essence of some of these great cities, creating a unique, premium gift or collector’s item that would be a memento of a special destination.”
