Bluebird Hardwater Creates Canned Whiskey Spirit With Zero Bubbles, Purified Water

Florida’s Bluebird Hardwater recently launched a line of premium “hard water” products, including a 4% ABV whiskey related one, that’s made with ultra-purified still water.

Each of the brand’s three new expressions contains two simple ingredients, a premium spirit and ultra-purified still water.

They launch with WHISKEY + WATER, mixed with “a sweet, warm aged whiskey,” and the spirit maker says WHISKEY + WATER tastes like the last sip of a whiskey on the rocks.

They’ll do the same with VODKA + WATER, made with a 10x distilled vodka, and TEQUILA + WATER, crafted with a Mexican blanco tequila made from agave.

Each drink has 78 calories per 12-ounce serving.

Bluebird Hardwater CEO and founder, Will Blum, said in a statement that what began as a personal quest to find an alcoholic option that resonated with an active lifestyle, has “evolved into a brand new, clean solution for adults who want to imbibe without feeling weighed down by the extra bubbles, sugar, and additives that are associated with alcohol beverages.”

Bluebird Hardwater’s network of distributors includes the Anheuser Busch network in Florida and Empire in New York, and the product will be available for sale at select liquor stores in both markets and online in 23 states.

“After testing hundreds of recipes and consulting with suppliers, our goal became clear – deliver a high-grade, portable, low-alcoholic alternative to current market offerings,” Blum said.
