Two iconic brands are teaming up to create a boozy St. Patricks Day treat.

Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey and Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur teamed up with OddFellows Ice Cream Co. to create what they feel is the ultimate Irish Coffee ice cream to celebrate the holiday.
OddFellows’ chef and co-founder, Sam Mason, crafted the limited-edition ice cream that captures the Irish Cream cocktail into an ice cream form. It features Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey’s 12-year-old expression as its base. Mr. Black’s 100% specialty-grade Arabica Coffee Liqueur is added in as well.

The OddFellow’s Knappogue Castle Irish Coffee ice cream is available by the tub for $13.50 in OddFellow’s New York City stores. It’s also available for shipping nationwide as part of a ‘Pick 6 Collection’ for $79.99.

Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey is named after a beautiful 15th-century castle in County Clare, Ireland. It is owned by Castle Brands Inc. and is made from malted barley, triple distilled a batch at a time in copper pot stills and aged in ex-bourbon oak casks.

The Knappogue Castle portfolio includes the 12, 14 and 16-year-old expressions, the limited edition 21-year-old and Wine Cask Finish Series expressions, and the renowned Knappogue Castle 1951.

How would you describe your whisky knowledge?

Mr. Black is made by hand in their distillery and coffee roastery located north of Sydney, Australia. The liqueur is a bittersweet blend of Arabica coffees and Australian wheat vodka. Mr. Black employs an entirely cold extraction, with no added flavors, fillers, or preservatives. Using a slow-drip method results in a more robust and sweet profile, creating a liqueur that’s said to be bold, complex, balanced, and unapologetically coffee.

OddFellows is a New York City-based ice cream shop known for its over 500 eccentric flavors. It describes itself as a modern yet nostalgic ice cream company with a compulsive creativity problem.
