Rock Town, Bardstown Bourbon Collaborate On New Column Still Collection

Rock Town Distillery, out of Arkansas, is set to release its newest bourbon line, The Column Still Collection.

A statement from the distiller notes that for this new bourbon, a sip takes you on a journey through Kentucky, and straight into the soul of Arkansas. And it’s worth noting this, because the collection is a collaboration between Rock Town Distillery in Arkansas and Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky.

The whiskey makers at Rock Town said this collection was born out of a quest to bring the best of both worlds together in a single bottle of bourbon. And each bottle represents the culmination of their passion and dedication to the art of bourbon making.

In March of 2020, Rock Town’s Founder and Head Distiller Phil Brandon took a trip to bourbon country in Kentucky to find a way to make more bourbon to meet the growing demand for his Rock Town spirits.

He discovered the Collaborative Distilling Program offered by Bardstown Bourbon Company and realized that he could use his own bourbon recipe along with Arkansas-grown grains to produce quality bourbon.

That bourbon makes up the three new expressions in the collection include Rock Town Column Still Collection Small Batch Straight Bourbon, Rock Town Column Still Collection Single Barrel Cask Strength Straight Bourbon, and Rock Town Column Still Collection Toast French Oak Finished Straight Bourbon.

“We’re thrilled to share our new bourbon line with the world,” Brandon said. “The Column Still Collection represents a true collaboration between two distilleries who share the same passion and values for quality and craftsmanship.”

The Small Batch Straight Bourbon clocks in at 92 proof, and sells for $69.99. The Toasted French Oak Finished Straight Bourbon is 100 proof, and retails for $39.99. The Single Barrel Straight Bourbon is bottled at Cask Strength, which is usually around 115 proof. It goes for $59.99.

All the bourbons in the collection are aged for at least two years in new, charred oak barrels.

The collection is available for purchase at select retailers, online through Rock Town Distillery’s website, and at the distillery.
