The nonprofit organization, The Trent DiGiuro Foundation, is hosting a rare bourbon raffle in collaboration with Give 270, founder of the bourbonraffles.org platform. Tickets for the raffle cost $100 each, with no limit on the number of tickets purchased per person. However, only 1,000 tickets are available in total. They will be sold until 7 PM on the night of the raffle.

About The Trent DiGiuro Foundation

Proceeds from the raffle will support The Trent DiGiuro Foundation, which funds educational scholarship initiatives to honor its namesake. Trent DiGiuro was a walk-on offensive lineman for the Kentucky Wildcats at the University of Kentucky. Tragically, the rising star was shot and killed on his front porch just three days prior to his 21st birthday, on July 17th, 1994.

Founded by Trent’s father, Mike, in his son’s memory, the foundation awards annual scholarships to student-athletes at Trent’s alma mater, South Oldham High School. Oldham County High School and North Oldham High School also benefit from the annual scholarships. The foundation also awards an annual scholarship for a walk-on football player at the University of Kentucky.

The Trent DiGiuro Foundation awards an annual scholarship to a UK walk-on football player.

Speaking about the raffle, Mike DiGiuro said: “The funds raised through this raffle will make a significant impact on the lives of local student-athletes and help keep Trent’s memory alive. We hope that individuals from our community and beyond will support this event, helping to fund our important work while having the chance to win some fantastic prizes.”

Give 270 & bourbonraffles.org

Another nonprofit organization supports the raffle: Give 270, which “supports community, economic and workforce development of the Elizabethtown-Fort Knox MSA (Hardin, LaRue and Meade counties) by raising funds for other area non-profit organizations and local initiatives.”

Give 270 launched bourbonraffles.org earlier in 2024 in order to offer fundraising platforms for a wider variety of nonprofits and initiatives.

Previous raffles supported by Give 270 include the ‘Bourbon Strong Raffle’ for Hardin County Habitat For Humanity, and the raffling of the Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 150: Baccarat Edition

Kenny Rambo, co-founder of Give 270, commented: “Following the success of our first raffle on this new platform, we at Give 270 are excited about the potential financial impact this upcoming raffle holds for such an important organization. This platform allows us to broaden our philanthropic reach, and we are proud to partner with the Trent DiGiuro Foundation.”
