Iconic Canadian whisky brand, Crown Royal, is broadening its horizons with the release of the new Crown Royal single malt Canadian whisky expression.

Known for its well-loved blend and flavored whiskies, this venture marks Crown Royal’s first foray into the single malt whisky market.

Crown Royal Single Malt Canadian Whisky is available now in-store and online for an RRP of $54.99.

The Crown Royal Single Malt Canadian Whisky

The new single malt whisky is distilled from 100% malted barley grains. As is stated on the packaging, the whisky is “delicately crafted in the Canadian cold”, making use of the country’s cool climate, much like that of Scotland. This delicate distillation, according to the press release, “ gives the whisky an even smoother and inviting taste to be enjoyed by both newcomers to the world of elevated whisky and connoisseurs alike.”

The Crown Royal Single Malt is presented in a beautiful decanter that calls back to Crown Royal’s original bottle design. The detailing on the front of the silver box is reminiscent of fracturing ice, evoking striking images of Canadian winters.

Bottled at 45% ABV, the Crown Royal Single Malt features aromas of “creamy vanilla and fruity banana” on the nose. On the palate, expect notes of “caramel, apple and baking spices, finishing with lingering hints of spice and warming cinnamon”.

Crown Royal’s Lower Manhattan Installation

In celebration of the brand’s venture in the world of single malts, the brand will host a unique ice sculpture installation at Brookfield Place (230 Vesey St, New York, NY), in Lower Manhattan on Friday, June 7th at 10 am ET.

There, an ice sculpture will slowly melt over the course of 24 hours to reveal the stunning single malt decanter. The installation is not only a celebration but a testament to the gentle maturation that produced the new whisky and, of course, the beautiful Canadian landscape.

Anyone 21+ who visits the pop-up will also receive an exclusive invitation to the Crown Royal Cocktail Tour, hosted by participating local bars. Such bars include Liberty Bistro, Monk McGinn’s, and Broadstone. There, customers can enjoy crafted Crown Royal cocktails and purchase selected merchandise.

“Cut From The Canadian Cold”
