The Lakes Distillery Debuts The Whiskymaker’s Reserve No. 6

The Lakes Distillery’s journey to define a signature style continued recently with the release of The Whiskymaker’s Reserve No. 6.

A statement from the distiller notes that No. 6 is an intensely aromatic evolution for them, as the new sherry-led English single malt retains the bold and complex characters The Whiskymaker’s Reserve is known for, bringing rich, new flavors to the forefront.

The distiller’s notes show that the whisky makers delved deep into the subtleties of flavor creation with No.6, exploring multi-layered nuances, turning the spotlight on exotic spices and gentle rose fragrance to create a distinctly different mood from its predecessors.

With a focus on accentuating notes of wood spice, the distillers noted that No. 6 has been principally matured in Oloroso, PX, and red wine casks, hand-crafted from Spanish and American oak, and designed through the art of élevage and blending expertise.

The whisky comes non-chill filtered, bottled at its natural color, and clocks in at 52% ABV.

The Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.6 is available online at www.lakesdistillery.com and specialist retailers with a suggested retail price of £85.
