The Limited Releases

As you can see above, four expressions in the range are limited editions. The first is the 14 Year Old Peat Smoked, a distillery exclusive. The whisky was distilled from a combination of peated and unpeated malt. Following double maturation in both first-fill and second-fill European oak, the 14 Year Old is an “elegant smoky expression with a defining citrus fruit and lemon sponge tasting note.”

The Glenturret 15 Years Old 2024 is also limited to just 6,000 bottles. Although this bottle is available at retail. The 14 Year Old, by contrast, is a distillery exclusive.

And, of course, we have The Glenturret’s Extremely Scarce Releases: a 25 Year Old and a 30 Year Old single malt.

The 25 Year Old, again matured in first and second-fill European oak, boasts notes of: “pineapple, laced with cinnamon and ginger. Vibrant fruitiness, combined with dried fruit and wood spices, lead to a warm finish.”

Finally, The Glenturret 30 Years Old is comprised of four different casks: European oak, Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximenez sherry, and port pipe. Tasting notes feature “wisps of aniseed and liquorice […] embraced by soft sweet oak at the finish.”

Provenance, Prowess, And Passion

Speaking about The Glenturret’s 2024 range, Jannie Baerneuther, Managing Director, said: “This year has been momentous for us at The Glenturret, marked by the opening of Aberturret Estate House and the launch of Aberturret Gin this spring. A major highlight, however, is the unveiling of our new 2024 Release. Bob and the team have crafted eight outstanding whiskies, with an exciting new distillery only exclusive 14 Years Old. Each whisky reflects our distillery’s core values of provenance, prowess, and passion. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!”
