The Dalmore Unveils New King Alexander III Travel Retail Exclusive

The Dalmore recently announced a new travel retail offering tied to a unique bottling from its single malt Scotch collection, The Dalmore King Alexander III.

A statement from the distiller notes that this may be the only six-cask finish single malt in the world, and they’re releasing the travel retail exclusive version in July.

Whyte & Mackay Travel Retail Director Richard Trimby said that The Dalmore has helped malt category growth globally by recruiting and trading up modern luxury shoppers, making it one of the fastest growing malts over the last 10 years by value.

Whyte & Mackay’s Clarisse Daniels said that the travel retail exclusive King Alexander III edition is “guaranteed to allure the modern luxury consumer by meeting their desire for exclusive products, authentic stories and by representing the perfect gift, whether as a self-treat or for someone else.”

The launch for this expression will be supported by campaigns in key travel retail locations around the world. And it’s built on the expertise of The Dalmore’s overall cask curation.

The distiller noted that this edition showcases casks from some of the most storied vineyards in the world. Scarce Sauternes casks offer a sweeter side of the iconic Bordeaux wine. Amarone casks of the Valpolicella wine region impart sophistication. And Portuguese red wine barriques from the Douro Valley offer distinct finesse and quality.

The notes of Master Whisky Maker Gregg Glass show that the result of this melange is a velvety, full-bodied and complex flavor profile.

The new King Alexander III TR exclusive comes in a cream-colored presentation box with silver details of the The Dalmore stag logo.
