Nomad Outland Whisky Introduces Reserve 10 Years Expression

González Byass USA recently released the Reserve 10 Years expression from its Nomad Outland Whisky brand.

A statement from González Byass noted that the new premium, reserve whisky was born in Scotland from a blend created by Master Blender Richard Paterson and aged in Spain under the watch of Master Distiller Rocio Trillo.

The distillers noted that this triple cask whisky spent its first six years in Scotland, resting in American oak barrels infused with Sherry before traveling to Jerez, where it was aged two more years in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks. Two more years in Oloroso Sherry casks followed, creating a whisky with a dark, amber color.

“We are thrilled to have Nomad be part of the ultra-premium whisky category,” said Nicolás Bertino, CEO and Country Manager of González Byass USA. “We have had a wonderful partnership with Richard Paterson and it only made sense for us to take Nomad Outland Whisky a step further with our Sherry heritage and create the Nomad Outland Reserve 10 Years so we could share this delicious whisky with a new category of consumers.”

The distiller’s notes show that Nomad Outland Whisky Reserve 10 Years features aromas of malt and Sherry on the nose with hints of wood, honey, toasted nuts, coffee and vanilla. It’s smooth on the palate, with flavor notes of oak, raisins and Sherry, while finishing long.

Nomad Outland Whisky Reserve 10 Years will have limited distribution in the U.S. this spring and comes in a 700mL bottle. It has a suggested retail price of $79.99.
