New Talisker Elements A 27-Year-Old Triple Matured Cask Strength Single Malt

An homage to the ever-changing natural elements on the Isle of Skye, the Talisker Distillery recently announced the new release of Talisker Elements, a limited edition triple-matured cask strength expression.

The rare 27 Year Old Single Malt Scotch is only the second triple-matured Talisker released to date and will only be available for purchase from Talisker’s Skye distillery.

Made by the sea, this Talisker whisky was aged in three different types of casks: First in refill casks, followed by a second maturation in heavily-charred casks, then a final rest in old European Oak puncheons.

At natural cask strength, Talisker Elements shows what’s described as its classic Talisker campfire smoke with sweet notes that finishes with a smoky and spicy kick.

Daniel Lumsden, Talisker’s distillery manager, said in a prepared statement, “The Isle of Skye is a constant inspiration for the whisky we craft and this bottle celebrates the power and depth of the elements around us by exploring the thunderous waves of flavors unique to Talisker’s rugged coastal home. From intense smoky winds and beastly storms to sweet soaring skies and salty maritime aromas, the explorer spirit of Skye is captured by Talisker Elements.”

Talisker is set to unveil a new, reimagined visitor experience this summer, after undergoing a major transformation as part of Diageo’s £185-million investment in Scotch whisky tourism.

Talisker Elements 27 Year-Old Whisky is available to purchase now at the Talisker Distillery in Skye, and the bottle has a suggested retail price of £495 per 70cl. It clocks in at 58% ABV, and there will be 2,000 bottles available in total.
