New Johnnie Walker Blue Label Etched With Philippines Map

The Johnnie Walker Blue Label blended Scotch has been, of late, on a global tour with regards to regionally themed glass bottles. This was first showcased earlier this year with a cityscape shot of Dubai, and then followed up a little later with London and Edinburgh expressions. Now we travel to Asia to celebrate the arrival of a Philippines offering.

The new Johnnie Walker Blue Label Philippine Limited Edition bottle features a gold-embossed map of the island nation it is named after. As with similar regional releases it will be available in a limited number of bottlings, this time around totaling just 7,107 individually numbered bottles.

It is said be something one can pick up in leading supermarkets. No price was mentioned.

“The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Philippine Limited Edition bottle is a tribute to Filipinos who continue to pursue their passions and walk the paths they envisioned for themselves,” said Jon Good, general manager of Diageo Philippines, in a statement. “In a country bursting with a strong sense of nationalism, we believe that the release [of this bottle] is proper. Diageo recognizes each Filipino’s role in positive social change and economic growth, and we believe that the fruits of his or her hard work deserve to be celebrated.”
