Jura’s Pale Ale Cask Edition Available For Domestic U.K. Purchase

UK single malt maker Jura recently introduced its newest expression in the Cask Edition Series, the Jura Pale Ale Cask.

The edition now hits the domestic market, available in stores across the UK.

A statement from Jura notes that during Covid lockdown, the whisky maker faced many challenges, but that adversity inspired creativity. And as many breweries slowed production as pubs and bars were closing, Jura’s whisky makers, Gregg Glass and Joe Ricketts, collaborated with local craft brewers to source beer casks suited to maturing Jura’s signature flavor profile.

Jura’s whisky makers’ notes show that the Pale Ale Cask Edition opens with aromas of honeyed cereal, vanilla spice and hints of pineapple. Fruity on the palate, there are notes of sweet citrus and a tropical hop character. It has a creamy, vanilla finish.

The new expression clocks in at 40% ABV. Jura Pale Ale Cask Edition joins three others in the Cask Editions Series: Jura Winter Edition, Jura Red Wine Cask Edition and Jura Rum Cask Finish.

Jura Pale Ale Cask Edition has a suggested retail price of £35 for a 70cl bottle.
