The Scottish distillery called Knockdhu, owned by Inver House Distillers, is known primarily for anCnoc (the hill) Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. A variety of expressions are already available under this brand, and the latest to join it is the limited 1999 Vintage.
Knockdhu distillery said the anCnoc 1999 Vintage was matured in American bourbon and Spanish sherry oak casks before being bottled in a natural form at 46% ABV. It is described as being amber in color with a slight golden hue that’s aromatic with sweetness to start, a touch of fruitiness and a long, smooth finish.
The packaging, in typical anCnoc style, is a red and white coloring that mirrors the minimalist design of the core range of whiskies under this label. It also features an illustration of the distillery on both the bottle and the tube.
As for pricing and availability, the 1999 Vintage is limited to just 750 cases that are available in the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany and Taiwan at a cost of around $83 a bottle.
