Aberlour A’bunadh Vertical Bought Back By Namesake Distillery

A rare and unique sampling of prized Aberlour A’Bunadh whisky recently made its way back to the Aberlour Distillery.

Cheshire-based whisky broker and consultant Mark Littler LTD completed the sale late last year, making the news public now as Aberlour announced future plans as part of Scotland’s upcoming Spirit of Speyside Festival.

Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whisky arm of Pernod Ricard, unveiled its line-up of events at this year’s Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival (April 27-May 2). The vertical of Aberlour A’Bunadh sold by Mark Littler will be front and center of one of the main events hosted in Speyside.

At the festival, Aberlour will offer festival-goers an opportunity to taste a flight of the rarest whiskies from the Aberlour A’bunadh (“Original”) collection which includes all 71 A’bunadh expressions released to date.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome fans back to our distilleries for the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2022 to celebrate Scotland’s national drink,” said Aberlour’s Master Distiller Graeme Cruickshank, in a prepared statement. “This year’s festival is extra special for us, as we finally get to share the only known full Aberlour A’bunadh collection for Scotch fans to taste.”
