5 Great Ways To Learn About Scotland’s Whisky Regions

Another year brings another planned Whisky Month in May in Scotland. There are a lot of planned events for this region wide undertaking, ranging from the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival April 30-May 4 to the Islay Malt and Music Festival May 22-May 30. You can get full details on it over at Visit Scotland’s Whisky Month website, but for purposes of this story I wanted to highlight for you five outstanding brochures prepared by Scotland’s tourism board talking about this land’s different whisky producing regions. Each one offers regional listings of whisky distilleries as well as “information on visitor opening hours and nearby attractions down to details of each distillery’s signature expressions you should try.”

I’ve embedded each one below for your consideration. I also encourage you to visit the Visit Scotland whisky website section to learn more about this national drink and how you can plan a vacation around it! Note all guides are copyright of Visit Scotland and not produced by us – I present them here to encourage learning about the different regions of Scotch in this rather exciting land.
