Tullamore D.E.W. Wants All Jamesons To Become Tullamores For St. Patrick’s Day

Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey is taking a healthy poke at one of their closest competitors this St. Patrick’s Day.

As part of their annual O’Everyone Campaign, the distiller is asking anyone with the last name of Jameson to change it to Tullamore on their social media accounts on March 16th and 17th. For every person that does so—and DMs the name change to the company through Facebook or Instagram—Tullamore D.E.W. will donate $100 to Another Round Another Rally, a nonprofit supporting bars and bartenders that have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Those donations are part of a $50,000 contribution the company has earmarked for the charitable organization.

From March 16th – 17th, Tullamore D.E.W. is also asking every Jameson across the country to change their last name to “Tullamore” on social media. (image via Tullamore DEW)

“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day than with a good laugh, great whiskey and lending a hand to the bars and bartenders who need our support now more than ever,” Conor Neville, Tullamore D.E.W.’s senior brand manager, said, in a prepared statement. “The O’Everyone Campaign is our way of saying, there is always common ground, and we hope our gesture will inspire all to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day the way it’s meant to be celebrated; together”

For the rest of us folks not lucky enough to have the last name of Jameson, Tullamore D.E.W. is offering up personalized O’Everyone t-shirts and customized Tullamore labels for sale. All proceeds will go to Another Round Another Rally.

Another Round, Another Rally, for those that don’t know of it, is a nonprofit financial resource for the hospitality industry. It provides reimbursement grants and immersive educational scholarships to further the education of historically excluded voices in the community’s leadership, and supply emergency assistance to those employed in restaurants, bars, and hotels who have fallen on unexpected hardship.
