Kiefer Sutherland Helps Launch A Shared Canadian Whisky Brand

Actor and whisky enthusiast Kiefer Sutherland can add co-founder of a whisky brand to his list of accomplishments, with the Canadian star recently joining the team at Red Bank Whisky as the new spirit hits shelves in Nova Scotia, and soon Canada-wide.

“Red Bank isn’t just a whisky,” Sutherland said, in a prepared statement. “It is a testament to the passion and artistry of Canadian craftsmanship, and a reflection of the warm East Coast hospitality that you can always bank on.”

Co-founded by Sutherland, Gary Briggs, Shawn Hiscott and Rob Steele, Red Bank Whisky is crafted by Master Blender Michel Marcil.

Marcil’s notes explain that Red Bank Whisky is a blend of rye, corn and wheat whiskies, and it stands out as a smooth spirit with a taste that captures the essence of Canada. It clocks in at 40% ABV per 750 ml bottle.

Red Bank is currently available at select locations in Nova Scotia, and will make its debut in New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Labrador at the end of May. Other parts of Canada will see it on shelves later this year.

Red Bank Canadian Whisky was established in 2022 on Nova Scotia’s rocky shores and is crafted with Canadian ingredients, an expression of its coastal terroir.
