Award-winning distiller, Bulleit Frontier Whiskey, has announced the release of its newest Barrel Strength Bourbon, batch number 8. The bottle is now available at retail across the US for $59.99 per 750ml.
Following on from the success of previous batches, Bulleit has bottled another uncut and unfiltered bourbon straight from the barrel. Distilled from a high-rye mash bill, identical to the core Bulleit Bourbon offering, this Barrel Strength Bourbon differs in its lack of dilution. The bourbon clocks in at 60.95 ABV (121.8 proof).

Prior to bottling, the whiskey was matured in virgin American white oak casks with level #4 char. The cask heads were charred separately, to level #2.

The resulting tasting notes include “gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas” on the nose. The palate is “smooth with tones of maple, oak, and nutmeg.” The finish is “long, dry and satiny with light toffee flavor but with deepened oak notes.”

Bulleit Frontier Whiskey was founded in 1987 and has carved out a successful venture and loyal fanbase with its distinctive high-rye recipes.
